JP
Cooler Ice Vault
The
Ice Vault by JP Cooler is the ultimate solution for bringing along
cold drinks and/or food that needs to be kept cool in your Jeep. The
cooler has been specifically designed to fit into the narrow trunk
space of a Jeep Wrangler TJ, YJ or CJ and still be large enough to
carry 56 qts. of stuff. I have found that there is actually still
enough room between the rear seat and cooler to store additional things
like small backpacks or recovery gear. An added bonus to the slim
design is that it can be carried with ease just like a suitcase. Other
nice features include an expandable cargo cord for securing loose
articles like jackets, blankets or other bulky non-food related stuff
that you might need to bring along.
I have personally tested this cooler in the Mojave Desert with temps
near 100°F. Using 2 Blue Ice blocks and 2 frozen water bottles,
the contents of my JP Cooler was able to stay nice and cold all day
long. With the amount of ice I used, I seriously doubt the contents
inside the cooler would have lasted cold longer than that. If you're
going to be out camping for a day or two, I would highly recommend
using a lot more ice.
